Senior Practitioner – Children in Care Team

• 37 hours p/w
• Hybrid, 2 days in the office

About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker / Practitioner to work within aChild In Care team in Birmingham. The team holds care proceedings with transfers to the team from the initial Court hearing. Caseloads are up to 17 / 18 children max with a mixture of children who are long term matched in foster care, supported accommodation or residential placements, minimal out of city cases as most of the children are placed locally. The authority works on a hybrid model of two office days per week week Mondays and Tuesdays and working from home. You have the choice to work from either of our two offices Lifford House and One Avenue Road with good car parking facilities.

What you need:

• A degree in Social Work or equivalent
• Registered with Social Work England
• At least 3 years PQE direct employment within English Local Authorities
• Completed relevant post-qualifying training
• Enhanced DBS check
• Excellent communication and written skills
• Preferrably a care driver
