SEND Project Manager – Suffolk

Rate: £455.50 per day

Pertemps Social Care are currently recruiting for two experienced SEND Project Managers to support Suffolk County Council with key SEND transformation programmes. These are 16-week assignments, providing interim project management support while the Local Authority completes its permanent recruitment process.
We are looking for experienced project/programme managers with a strong understanding of SEND transformation, education settings and multi-agency working.
Project Manager – Experts at Hand (EAH)Reporting to the SEND Reform Senior Transformation Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the implementation plan across approximately 36 primary and secondary schools participating in Suffolk’s EAH pilot.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day implementation and mobilisation of the EAH pilot across participating schools.
- Coordinate school onboarding, briefing sessions and implementation support.
- Work alongside SEND, Specialist Education, Psychology and engagement teams to ensure a coordinated offer.
- Track delivery against the agreed plan, identifying and escalating risks, issues and dependencies.
- Coordinate activity across Education, Health and Local Authority colleagues.
- Lead communications and engagement with participating schools, health partners and locality stakeholders.
- Support implementation of the Team Around the Setting (TAS) model, including meetings, actions and follow-up.
- Ensure resources, tools, templates and guidance are available and consistently implemented.
- Monitor pilot readiness, including service specifications, operational processes, workforce deployment and partnership arrangements.
- Collect, analyse and report performance data, feedback, risks and lessons learned.
- Support evaluation, case studies, impact reporting and future rollout planning.
- Prepare highlight reports, progress updates and governance papers.
- Maintain action logs, risk registers, implementation trackers and programme documentation.
- Facilitate collaborative working based on co-design, early intervention and inclusive practice.
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
- Proven project or programme management experience within SEND, education or Local Authority transformation.
- Experience delivering complex projects across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of SEND services, education settings and inclusive practice.
- Experience working collaboratively with Local Authority, education and/or health partners.
- Strong project governance, reporting, risk and dependency management skills.
- Experience coordinating implementation across multiple schools or settings.
- Excellent communication, engagement and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work at pace and deliver against tight timescales.
- Experience supporting SEND transformation or service improvement programmes would be highly desirable.
