SEND Case Officer – Cheshire East (Remote)
Rate per day: £320 per day
Working Hours: Full-Time
Working Arrangements: Remote Working

Pertemps is recruiting for an experienced SEND Case Officer to join Cheshire East Council on a full-time, remote basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a SEND professional with Post-16 experience who is confident managing a caseload of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) while ensuring statutory deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children and young people with EHCPs.
  • Undertake statutory Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments.
  • Draft, review and amend EHCPs in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Attend Annual Reviews and ensure plans are updated where required.
  •  Liaise with schools, colleges, training providers and other professionals to secure appropriate educational placements.
  • Provide advice and guidance to parents, carers and educational settings on the EHCP process and SEND Code of Practice.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure children and young people receive appropriate support and provision.
  • Ensure all work is completed within statutory timescales and to a high standard.

Requirements:

  • Previous Local Authority experience as a SEND Case Officer.
  • Essential: Strong Post-16 SEND experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
  • Experience managing a statutory EHCP caseload independently.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
