Are you an experienced Adults’ Social Worker looking for your next locum opportunity? We are working in partnership with a well-established local authority in Cheshire to recruit an experienced Social Worker to join their Learning Disabilities Team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive service where you’ll manage a varied caseload, work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, and make a real difference to the lives of adults with learning disabilities.
As part of the Learning Disabilities Team, you will:
- Manage a caseload of adults with learning disabilities.
- Complete strengths-based assessments, care planning, reviews, and support planning.
- Undertake safeguarding enquiries and risk assessments.
- Apply the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and other relevant legislation in practice.
- Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, providers, and partner agencies to deliver person-centred outcomes.
- Promote independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for service users.
Requirements To be considered, you will need:
- A recognised Social Work qualification.
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Experience within Adult Social Care, preferably in a Learning Disabilities Team.
- A sound understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, safeguarding, and strengths-based practice.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and case management skills.
