Qualified Social Worker – First Response Team

About the role:

As a Qualified Social Worker in the First Response Team, you will be responsible for screening and assessing referrals relating to children and families where there are safeguarding concerns. You will undertake timely child and family assessments, make informed decisions about levels of risk and need, and determine the most appropriate interventions or services. Working closely with multi-agency partners, you will ensure children receive the right support at the earliest opportunity, while maintaining a child-centred approach and adhering to statutory guidance, he council’s policies and Social Work England professional standards.

What you need:

• A degree in Social Work or equivalent
• Registered with Social Work England
• At least 3 years PQE direct employment within English Local Authorities
• Completed relevant post-qualifying training
• Enhanced DBS check
• Excellent communication and written skills
