Personal Advisor – Buckinghamshire

Pay rate – £24 per hour
 
Contract – Temporary
 
Buckinghamshire County Council are currently recruiting experienced Personal Advisors for their Leaving Care team.
 
Hybrid working available
37 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
 
Guide and support care-experienced young people aged 16 to 25 as they transition into independent adult life.
Co-produce, manage, and review the young person’s Pathway Plan (reviewed at least every six months) to map out their goals.
Work alongside social workers starting at age 17, eventually taking over primary responsibilities when the young person turns 18.
Help access housing, manage money, claim benefits, and secure grants or allowances (such as basic needs funding or education/training costs).
Advocate for the young person across health, education, employment, and community services to remove barriers to their success.
Provide regular visits and active support up to age 21, with continued advisory support available upon request up to age 25.
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
