Lead Child Protection Practitioner – West Midlands

Pay rate – £38 per hour
 
Contract – Temporary
 
A West Midlands local authority are currently recruiting an experienced Lead Child Protection Practitioner for their children’s services.
 
This is a non-caseholding role.
Hybrid working available.
 
Overseeing child protection plans, chair strategy meetings, and support frontline social workers.
Oversee Section 47 enquiries and develop or review child protection plans.
Chair Child Protection conferences, strategy meetings, and multi-agency CP meetings.
Provide guidance, reflective supervision, and coaching to frontline Social Workers and Family Practitioners.
Work alongside police, health colleagues, and education officers within the new Multi-Agency Child Protection Teams.
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
