Independent Social Worker – Buckinghamshire

Pay rate – £40 per hour (Outside IR35)
 
Contract – Temporary
 
Buckinghamshire County Council are currently recruiting experienced Independent Social Workers to complete Form F Assessments.
 

• Evaluate and report on a prospective foster carer’s suitability to safely care for vulnerable children.
• Plan and complete 8 to 12 scheduled face-to-face or remote assessment sessions with the applicants over 2 to 3 months to explore their background, motivations, and lifestyle.
• Produce a thorough, evidence-based Form F Prospective Foster Carer Report analysing the applicant’s emotional resilience, capacity to parent traumatized children, and household safety.
• Present the completed Form F report alongside the applicants at the Buckinghamshire County Council or independent fostering agency panel meeting to address questions regarding the assessment.
• Manage time effectively to submit completed reports within agreed-upon agency or local authority timescales.

 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
