Pay rate – £500 per day

Stoke on Trent City Council are currently recruiting an experienced Head of Service/Principal Social Worker for their Childrens services.
 
Seeking an experienced Principal Social Worker to provide strategic and operational leadership across Children’s Social Care on an interim basis.
 
The role will lead on quality of social work practice, workforce development, recruitment and retention, professional standards, CPD and training, and associated grant-funded activity.
 
As the principal professional lead, you will hold oversight of statutory responsibilities within your remit, ensuring high-quality, restorative and child-centred practice that meets legislative requirements and local and national expectations.
 
You will drive continuous improvement, performance and learning, ensuring services are delivered within agreed budgets and that children’s voices are central to service design and delivery.
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
