Family Support Worker – Warwickshire

Pay rate – £22.75 per hour

Warwickshire County Council are currently recruiting experienced Family Support Workers for their Children’s Support & Intervention team based in Stratford-upon-Avon.
 
Hybrid working available
37 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
 
Deliver restorative, evidence-based support and interventions for children, young people (ages 0–19/25), and their families in homes and community settings.
Build strong, trusting relationships that encourage families to lead decision-making, engage in support plans, and find their own solutions.
Provide proportionate, evidence-based individual or group interventions and direct parenting/child development guidance.
Work closely with social workers, schools, health professionals, and police as part of integrated teams (such as Families First or Family Help) to positively alter family behaviours and reduce risk.
Manage workloads spanning early help, children in need, edge of care, or supporting children in care (including supervising family time and facilitating life story work).
Act as a positive mentor through 1-1 work, drop-in sessions, and community groups, while adhering to Warwickshire Safeguarding procedures.
 
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
