Family Court Advisor – CAFCASS – Liverpool

Pay rate – £249.47 per day

CAFCASS are currently recruiting experienced children’s Social Workers for their Family Court Advisor vacancies based in Liverpool.
 
The Civil & Family Court, 35 Vernon Street, Liverpool, L2 2BX
Court attendance regular. Minimum office attendance twice per month.
 
The Family Court Adviser role provides advanced social work support to children, families, and courts within family proceedings, ensuring the child’s welfare and safeguarding remain central to all decision-making.
The role involves assessing risk, analysing complex cases, advising courts on child protection and welfare concerns, and working directly with children and families to achieve positive outcomes. Applicants must hold a recognised Social Work qualification and have at least three years post-qualifying experience working with children and families.
Strong assessment, communication, negotiation, case management, and IT skills are essential, alongside the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage sensitive, high-conflict situations professionally.
 
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
