EHCP Coordinator – New Assessments Team
Location: Bromley
Rate: £280.01 per day
Contract: Full-time, Temporary
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days in the office, 3 days from home

We are currently recruiting for an experienced EHCP Coordinator to join the New Assessments Team within a local authority in Bromley.
The successful candidate will have significant experience managing the EHCP Needs Assessment process and a strong understanding of the statutory requirements surrounding Education, Health and Care Plans.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of new EHCP Needs Assessments from initiation through to completion.
  • Coordinate advice and information from education, health and social care professionals.
  • Ensure assessments are progressed within statutory timescales.
  • Draft and amend EHCPs in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Liaise effectively with parents, young people, schools and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure all documentation is completed to a high standard.
  • Work as part of the New Assessments Team to ensure timely and effective outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

Requirements

  • Significant experience of managing EHCP Needs Assessments is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of the EHCP statutory assessment process.
  • Good understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Previous local authority SEND experience.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and case management skills.
  • Experience using the IDOX EHCP Portal is highly desirable.
