EHCP Coordinator – New Assessments Team
Location: Bromley
Rate: £280.01 per day
Contract: Full-time, Temporary
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days in the office, 3 days from home
We are currently recruiting for an experienced EHCP Coordinator to join the New Assessments Team within a local authority in Bromley.
The successful candidate will have significant experience managing the EHCP Needs Assessment process and a strong understanding of the statutory requirements surrounding Education, Health and Care Plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of new EHCP Needs Assessments from initiation through to completion.
- Coordinate advice and information from education, health and social care professionals.
- Ensure assessments are progressed within statutory timescales.
- Draft and amend EHCPs in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
- Liaise effectively with parents, young people, schools and other professionals.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure all documentation is completed to a high standard.
- Work as part of the New Assessments Team to ensure timely and effective outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
Requirements
- Significant experience of managing EHCP Needs Assessments is essential.
- Strong knowledge of the EHCP statutory assessment process.
- Good understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
- Previous local authority SEND experience.
- Excellent communication, organisation and case management skills.
- Experience using the IDOX EHCP Portal is highly desirable.
