EHC Coordinator
Local Authority – South East England
£280 per day
Hybrid working (1–2 days per week in the office)
We are currently working with a local authority in the South East of England who are seeking an experienced EHC Coordinator to support their SEND service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments, ensuring the process is completed in line with statutory timescales and the SEND Code of Practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the EHC needs assessment process from request through to final plan
- Acting as the main point of contact for children, young people, families, and professionals
- Gathering and coordinating advice from education, health and social care partners
- Drafting and issuing high-quality EHC Plans
- Ensuring compliance with statutory duties and local authority procedures
- Working collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as an EHC Coordinator / SEND Case Officer within a local authority
- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice
- Ability to manage a busy caseload and work to tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
