Children’s Team Manager – Liverpool

Pay rate – £46 per hour
 
Contract – Temporary
 
Liverpool City Council are currently recruiting an experienced children’s Team Manager for their Multi-disciplinary team.
 
Hybrid working – 3 days per week in the office
Responsible for operational leadership, safeguarding compliance, case allocation, and multi-agency coordination to protect and support vulnerable children.
 

• Providing line management, performance reviews, and clinical or professional supervision to social workers, practitioners, and outreach staff.
• Overseeing the distribution of cases and ensuring assessments are completed within statutory legal timescales.
• Conducting regular case audits and front-line practice reviews to drive continuous service improvement.
• Hosting and facilitating multi-disciplinary meetings, child protection conferences, and core groups.
• Working as a central liaison alongside partners in health, education, the police, and voluntary sectors to build integrated care plans.
• Providing final management oversight on complex, high-risk safeguarding cases to prevent significant harm.
• Enforcing strict information governance protocols to securely transfer critical clinical or social data across various agency systems.

 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
