Children’s Supervising Social Worker – Cheshire West & Chester

Pay rate – £38.99 per hour

Cheshire West and Chester Council are currently recruiting experienced children’s Supervising Social Workers for their Fostering team based in Ellesmere Port.
 
As a Supervising Social Worker on the Mainstream Fostering Team, you will safeguard and promote the welfare of Cheshire West and Chester’s children by delivering a high-quality service, keeping children’s wellbeing and safety at the heart of your approach.
The majority of the work will be an allocated caseload of Foster Carer supervision and support, Duty cover, facilitating support groups and presenting Skills to Foster training.
You will ensure that all regulatory activity is of a high standard and within timescales and you will be an integral part of the Mainstream Team, working closely with partners such as the Virtual School, the Intervention Hub, therapeutic services and Health.
The postholder will be able to travel across the Borough of Cheshire West and Chester and beyond and will have a valid driving licence and access to a car.
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
