Children’s Social Worker – Liverpool

Pay rate – £39 per hour
 
Contract – Temporary
 
Liverpool City Council are currently recruiting experienced Children’s Social Workers for their Family Help MASH team.
 
Hybrid working – 3 days office based, 2 days from home
35 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
 
Acting as a central point of contact (“Front Door”) to triage referrals, evaluate safeguarding risks, and coordinate multi-agency support for children and families.
Review incoming contacts and referrals at the Front Door to determine urgency and the level of need.
Work alongside co-located professionals from police, health, education, and other sectors to pool data and build a complete picture of a family’s circumstances.
Formulate timely, proportionate safeguarding actions and safety plans to protect vulnerable children and prevent escalation of risk.
Champion a strengths-based, inclusive approach to ensure children and their networks receive coordinated and rapid assistance.
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
