Children’s Social Worker – Knowsley

Pay rate – £39 per hour
 
Contract – Temporary
 
Knowsley MB Council are currently recruiting experienced children’s Social Workers for their MASH team.
 
36 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
Hybrid working – 3 days max office based per week
 
Responsible for acting as the frontline triage and screening point for safeguarding referrals concerning vulnerable children and adults at risk.
Review new contacts and incoming Multi-Agency Referral Forms (MARFs) to evaluate the urgency and level of risk.
Work side-by-side with co-located professionals from various sectors to ensure a coordinated, timely, and communicative response to safeguarding concerns.
Apply professional judgment and statutory frameworks to decide the appropriate threshold and next steps, such as progressing a referral to local child protection/safeguarding teams or redirecting to early help.
Participate in strategy discussions, contribute to multi-agency decision-making processes, and maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic records.
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
