Children’s Social Worker – Hillingdon

Pay rate – £39.04 per hour
 
Contract – Temporary
 
Hillingdon Council are currently recruiting an experienced Children’s Social Worker for their Family Help Locality team.
 
Hybrid working available
36 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
 
Operates through locality-based teams aligned with local Family Hubs and children’s centres to integrate early help, targeted support, and statutory intervention.
Build trusted, relationship-based partnerships with children, young people, and their families within a defined local geographical area.
Complete high-quality assessments identifying family strengths, potential risks, and specific support needs.
Develop, deliver, and review effective Child in Need (CiN) and Child Protection plans.
Lead purposeful interventions (including modelling and coaching for practical and social skills) aimed at improving safety, wellbeing, and family resilience.
Collaborate closely with schools, health services, the police, adult services, and community partners.
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
