Children’s Social Worker – Harrow

Pay rate – £39.04 per hour
 
Contract – Temporary
 
Harrow Council are currently recruiting experienced children’s Social Workers for their First Response team.
 
Hybrid working available
36 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
 
Evaluating new referrals at the front door to keep children safe and connect families with the right services.
Review and assess new referrals coming into children’s services quickly.
Complete Child and Family Assessments (single assessments) within legal time limits.
Conduct Section 47 risk assessments and help with child protection procedures when there is risk of harm.
Partner with schools, the police, and health workers to share information and build safety plans.
Plan, monitor, and review short-term allocated cases, keeping the child’s voice central to all choices.
Write clear records and present case information or court reports when needed.
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
