Children’s Social Worker – Dudley

Pay rate – £41 per hour
 
Contract – Temporary
 
Dudley MB Council are currently recruiting experienced children’s Social Workers for their Assessment team.
 
Hybrid working available
37 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
 
Conducting statutory child and family assessments to identify needs, evaluate risks, and determine the right support plans within a maximum of 45 days.
Undertake child and family assessments (using the single assessment process and statutory procedures) following referrals from the integrated children’s front door.
Visit children and families at home, observe interactions, see children alone where appropriate, and ensure the child’s lived experience remains central to the process.
Work closely with partners like police, health, education, and early help to gather information, share intelligence, and coordinate holistic support.
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
