Children’s Social Worker – Cheshire West & Chester

Pay rate – £39.00 per hour
 
Contract – Temporary
 
Cheshire West & Chester Council are currently recruiting experienced children’s Social Workers for their Family Help Safeguarding team based in Winsford.
 
Hybrid working available
37 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
Other Family Help opportunities also available in Chester & Ellesmere Port offices.
 
Managing cases for children subject to Child Protection Plans and those involved in Public Law Outline (PLO) processes.
Replaces traditional Early Help and Children in Need categories with a single assessment service, utilising Family Help Lead Practitioners (FHLPs) alongside social workers.
Partner with safeguarding teams for joint decision-making, oversight, and line-of-sight meetings with police, health, and education.
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
