Bradford MD Council are currently recruiting an experienced children’s Social Worker for their Progressing Permanence Plans team.
This is a non-caseholding role
Fixed term – 3 months – hybrid working
Bradford Children and Families Trust are launching an exciting short-term initiative to accelerate permanence planning for children in care.
A non-case holding team focused solely on progressing permanence plans through high-quality assessments and court applications.
This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact—free from the demands of case management—by contributing directly to the timely achievement of stable, permanent outcomes for children.
Complete targeted work including parenting assessments, SGO assessments and support plans, family time assessments, and court documentation.
Work intensively with up to five families at a time, delivering all required work within a 6-week timeframe.
Collaborate closely with legal services, business support, and the wider Children in Care service to ensure smooth progression to court.
Help reduce delays and improve outcomes for children by supporting the discharge of Care Orders through Special Guardianship Orders and reunification.
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
