Children’s Social Worker, Advanced Practitioner, Looked After Children, Staffordshire area 
Pay rate £42 per hour 
Contract role, IRO – Child in Care / Looked After Children  
 
Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Children’s Social Worker in Stoke 
This is to work as an Advanced Practitioner within Looked After Children 
The work of the Corporate Parenting 14–17 Team focuses on supporting looked after young people through adolescence, helping them build resilience, develop independence skills and prepare positively for adulthood and leaving care. This includes undertaking pathway planning, supporting young people to develop practical life skills, promoting education, employment and training opportunities, maintaining important family and support networks, and helping young people move towards independence in a safe and planned way.   
You will work with looked after young people aged 14–17, supporting them through adolescence and preparing them for leaving care. You will build meaningful relationships with young people, families, carers and partner agencies to ensure every young person has the opportunities, skills and support they need to achieve their ambitions. 
You will play a key role in helping young people understand and prepare for adulthood, including supporting them with education, employment, emotional wellbeing, accommodation planning, identity, relationships, financial independence and life skills.
