Stoke on Trent City Council are currently recruiting experienced children’s Senior Practitioners for their new Family Help Pilot team.
 
Within Children and Family Services, Stoke are currently piloting Teams who work with our children and their families at the point children enter care this is a rare opportunity to work within this pilot holding and managing care proceedings through to final hearing and permanency planning.
 
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new way of working and be part of transformational change within Stoke-on-Trent Children’s Services.
 
Applicants must have a strong understanding of the Families First Partnership Programme reforms and experience supporting the implementation of these changes in practice with children and families.
 
Early help, support and safeguarding pilot under the families first partnership program principals. 
 
They are keen to speak to social workers with safeguarding experience who have good interagency and early intervention skills to drive forward this significant change to social work practice. 
You would also be working alongside and experienced manager and alternatively qualified workers.
 
Essential experience includes:

  • Safeguarding and child protection
  • Working with children and families in statutory services
  • Multi-agency partnership working
  • Relationship-based practice and early intervention

 
Candidates must be:

  • Social Work England registered
  • Able to hit the ground running
  • Confident managing complex safeguarding work

 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
