Childrens Residential Workers – West Midlands

Pay rate – £20.90–£22.75 per hour
Full-time (Temporary) – 37 hours per week
 
 
A welcoming Children’s Residential Home in the Stratford area is seeking compassionate and dedicated Children’s Residential Workers to support children aged 6–12 years. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people by providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where they can thrive.
 
 
Key Responsibilities

• Support children with their daily routines, including personal care, hygiene, and mealtimes, while encouraging independence and confidence.
• Assist with toileting and toilet training in a respectful, child-centred manner.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children, using effective de-escalation techniques to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Create a fun, engaging, and safe environment that promotes learning, play, and healthy peer relationships.
• Support children to participate in activities within the home and the local community, helping them develop life skills and confidence.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality, person-centred care that meets each child’s individual needs.

 
 
Requirements

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check).
• A caring, patient, and resilient approach, with a genuine passion for supporting children to achieve positive outcomes.
