Children’s Residential Unit Manager – Nottingham City

Pay rate – £TBC – negotiable
 
Contract – Temporary
 
Nottingham City Council are currently recruiting an experienced Children’s Residential Unit Manager.
 
To manage 2 Children’s and Transitional Homes, so that the physical, emotional and safety needs of children are protected and promoted, working within the Government Guidance; the City Council’s core values and strategic aims and the Department’s policies and procedures in order to meet National Standards and achieve good outcomes for the Children Looked After in the home.
 
Pay rate is negotiable – must be in line with current market rates
 
Possession of full driving licence, access to a vehicle and willingness to travel both inside and outside the council area as required.
 
1) Meets Children’s Homes Regulations April 2015 including the quality standards.
2) Promotes children’s welfare and safeguards their wellbeing
3) Creates a positive physical and emotional environment where children can achieve their potential
 
Need to have a diploma 3 in Residential childcare or equivalent.
Willingness to work out of hours, be on call on occasions, sleep in if staffing shortages.
 
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
