Children’s Residential Support Workers – West Midlands

Pay Rate: £20.90–£22.75 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary | Flexible Shift Work
 
We are currently recruiting experienced Children’s Residential Support Workers to join a West Midlands local authority, providing agency support across five operational children’s residential homes.
 
This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people while benefiting from flexible agency work and competitive hourly rates.
 
Shift Patterns
The homes primarily operate:

• 15-hour day shifts with sleep-ins
• Occasional 7.5-hour evening shifts, typically starting at 3:00pm, followed by a sleep-in and a 30-minute handover the following morning

 
Essential Requirements
To be considered, candidates must have:

• An Enhanced DBS with a clear Children’s Barred List check
• Experience working within children’s residential care
• A full UK driving licence (preferred)
• Business insurance for the use of your own vehicle (preferred)

 
Essential Training & Experience
Applicants must have knowledge and experience in:

• Safeguarding Children
• First Aid
• Food Hygiene
• Team Teach or another recognised physical intervention/restraint training
• Health & Safety
• Fire Safety
