Children’s Advanced Practitioner – Harrow

Pay rate – £40 per hour
 
Contract – Temporary
 
Harrow Council are currently recruiting an experienced children’s Advanced Practitioner for their Children in Need team.
 
Hybrid working available
36 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
 
Providing professional leadership and mentoring to frontline social workers while managing a small, highly complex caseload of children and families.
Maintain a small caseload of complex Child in Need and Child Protection cases, delivering timely and effective interventions.
Undertake complex risk analyses, statutory assessments, and detailed care planning.
Provide expert guidance on safeguarding concerns and child protection procedures.
Chair or contribute to professional multi-agency meetings and collaborate with external partners (such as health and police) to secure positive outcomes.
Ensure case recordings, legal reports, and documentation meet high standards and adhere strictly to statutory timescales.
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
