We are currently recruiting for an experienced Band 7 Special School Outreach Practitioner to provide specialist support across special school settings in London.

The role will involve working directly with children and young people with additional needs, providing specialist advice, assessment and support to schools, families and professionals.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide specialist outreach support to special schools
• Assess individual needs and provide recommendations
• Develop and review appropriate support strategies
• Provide specialist advice and guidance to school staff and families
• Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
• Support staff to implement appropriate interventions and strategies
• Produce high-quality reports and maintain accurate records
• Contribute specialist expertise to improve outcomes for children and young people

Requirements:

• Relevant professional qualification and registration
• Band 7 or equivalent specialist experience
• Experience working within special school or SEND settings
• Strong knowledge of supporting children and young people with complex needs
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with education, health and other professionals
