Approved Mental Health Professional – West Berkshire

Pay rate – £50 per hour
 
Contract – Temporary (Part-time – 15 hours per week)
 
West Berkshire Council are currently recruiting an experienced Approved Mental Health Professional to work with service users and carers to maximise independence in line with self-directed care principles.
 
Team work remotely.
A full driving licence is essential, will need own vehicle and will have to drive Berkshire wide, possibly London or Wales.
15 hours, 2 days per week – Flexible on what days those are
 
Undertake professional duties in:
Care management
Safeguarding
Mental capacity
Deprivation of liberty
Risk assessment and management.
 
Provide social work expertise to locality team members
Assess referrals to adult social care for service eligibility under the Care Act 2014.
Act as lead specialist in a condition relevant to the role (e.g. mental health, learning disability, dementia, MS, acquired brain injury).
Work in a specialist team and collaborate with NHS partners.
 
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
