Approved Mental Health Professional – Rotherham

Pay rate – £45 per hour
 
Contract – Temporary
 
Rotherham MB Council are currently recruiting an experienced Approved Mental Health Professional for their Adult Mental Health dedicated AMHP team.
 
37 hours per week
Working Pattern: 7-week rolling rota, 24/7 service provision
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite, however if working 7-7, must be on site
 
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist team responsible for delivering the local authority’s statutory duties under the Mental Health Act and associated Health and Social Care legislation.
 
The successful candidates will undertake Mental Health Act Assessments, work collaboratively with health professionals and partner agencies, and support individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. The role requires autonomous decision-making, strong legal literacy, and a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for adults with complex mental health needs.
 
In addition to Mental Health Act work, the team supports the borough’s Making Safe provision, acting as the primary point of contact for Adult Social Care enquiries outside normal working hours.
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
