Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Local Authority Housing Service Manager in Northamptonshire. 
This is a Local Authority based role, so you will need to have significant experience of working at this level in a Local Authority Housing team. 

• This is a senior leadership position within Housing Management, focused on driving service improvement, strengthening accountability and leading transformational change across housing services.  

• Working closely with the Head of Housing Management, the postholder will provide visible leadership across tenancy management, income collection, estate services, tenant engagement and housing support.  

• The role is responsible for improving operational performance, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring residents remain at the centre of service delivery.  

Key priorities include:  

• Leading and developing high-performing teams.  

• Driving accountability, ownership and a positive service culture.  

• Delivering measurable improvements in performance, customer satisfaction and resident outcomes. Using data, customer feedback and quality assurance information to identify and address service issues.  

• Supporting the Council’s housing transformation programme.  

• Ensuring compliance with housing legislation, consumer standards and regulatory requirements. Supporting inspection readiness and regulatory assurance activities.  

• Working collaboratively with elected Members and internal stakeholders to deliver strategic housing objectives.  

• The successful candidate will be expected to quickly assess service performance, identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions that deliver tangible outcomes. Overall, the role is a critical part of strengthening Housing Management by improving performance, driving service excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance and helping deliver safe, sustainable and resident-focused housing services.
