Children’s Team Manager – Buckinghamshire

Pay rate – £45.00 per hour

Buckinghamshire County Council are currently recruiting an experienced Children’s Team Manager for their Children in Care over 16’s team.
 
Hybrid working available
37 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
 
Leading social workers and personal advisors to deliver statutory support, pathway planning, and successful transitions to adulthood for young people aged 16 and over. You will:

• Oversee the creation and regular review of comprehensive Pathway Plans (at least every six months) and needs assessments in line with the Buckinghamshire Leaving Care and Transition Policy.
• Allocate cases, manage team workflows efficiently, and oversee localized budgets to ensure resources directly benefit care leavers up to age 25.
• Collaborate closely with housing services, education providers, health professionals (including CAMHS and adult services), and the criminal justice system to prevent homelessness and secure positive outcomes.
• Champion the local authority’s corporate parenting principles to support independent living, education, training, and employment.

 
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
