Personal Advisor – Buckinghamshire

Pay rate – £24 per hour
 
Contract – Temporary
 
Buckinghamshire County Council are currently recruiting experienced Personal Advisors for their Leaving Care team.
 
Hybrid working available
37 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
 
Acting as a key, trusted adult who supports care-experienced young people aged 16 to 25 as they transition to independence.

• Assess needs and create and review Pathway Plans at least every 6 months (allocated around age 17, fully taking over from a social worker when the young person turns 18).
• Visit the young person in their accommodation within 7 days of it being provided, before any pathway plan review, and at least once every 2 months.
• Offer guidance on housing, money management, benefits, education, training, employment (EET), and health and wellbeing.

• Maintain regular contact up to age 21 and provide ongoing advice and targeted assistance upon request up to age 25.

 
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
