Independent Social Worker – Buckinghamshire

Pay rate – £40 per hour (Outside IR35)
 
Contract – Temporary
 
Buckinghamshire County Council are currently recruiting experienced Independent Social Workers to complete Form F Assessments.
 
Must have prior experience with Form F Assessments.
Evaluate and report on prospective foster carers’ suitability to safely look after vulnerable children.
 
Plan and deliver 8 to 12 scheduled face-to-face or remote sessions with applicants over 2 to 3 months to review their background, lifestyle, and motivations.
Produce a comprehensive, analytical CoramBAAF Form F report assessing the household safety, emotional resilience, and capacity to parent traumatized children.
Coordinate with local authority support teams to verify statutory checks, including DBS clearances, medicals, employment references, and personal interviews.
Present the final assessment report alongside the applicants at the Buckinghamshire fostering panel meeting and address any questions.
Manage workloads autonomously to ensure completed reports are submitted within agreed local authority and statutory deadlines.
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
