Children’s Social Worker, Safeguarding Review Lead, Shropshire 
Pay rate to £41.42 per hour  
Contract role, Safeguarding Review Lead within Quality Assurance 
 
Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Children’s Social Worker in Shropshire 
This is to work in a Safeguarding Review Lead within Quality Assurance 
The post holder will support the PSW/Service Manager for Quality Assurance in matters relating to the Shropshire Safeguarding Community Partnership (SSCP);  

• assisting with the timely arrangement and completion of Safeguarding Incident Notification meetings between Statutory Partners, ensuring that the meetings are recorded accurately and, where appropriate, referrals to the SSCP for Rapid Reviews are completed.
• taking a lead for reviewing records for Rapid Reviews, Domestic Homicide Reviews, Safeguarding Adult Reviews and Anti-Social Behaviour Case Reviews.
• drafting Scoping Forms, Information Management Reports (IMRs) or similar reports and compile detailed Impact Chronologies to assist with internal and Local Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews.
• representing the PSW/Service Manager for Quality Assurance at the above meetings; presenting information and making a meaningful contribution to discussions in respect of risk and learning
• attending and contributing to Case Review Panels and Practitioner Learning Events.
• deputising for the Service Manager for Quality Assurance at the SSCP Children’s and Adults Statutory Case Review Groups and the SSCP Quality Assurance and Performance Group.
• disseminate learning from local and national Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews across the workforce and design mechanisms to evaluate and report on the impact of learning on practice.

• As directed, the post holder will deputise for the PSW/SM for Quality Assurance as Children’s Social Care representative at the Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP); providing information and attending to represent Shropshire Children’s Social Care at Joint Agency Reviews, Child Death Overview Panel meetings and Child Death Review Meetings.  

• The post holder will be responsible for securing appropriate responses to identified actions and disseminating learning across the workforce.  

• Deputise for and represent the Service Manager for Quality Assurance as required at other relevant meetings, panels and committees (internal and external).  

• Lead on the coordination and tracking of actions arising from reviews, panels, learning events, SSCP groups and CDOP-related activity, ensuring completion, evidence of impact and reporting through appropriate governance routes.  

• Support the development and delivery of practice improvement activity, including briefings, learning sessions, workshops and resources arising from audit findings, reviews, complaints, inspections and national learning.  

• Contribute to the quality assurance framework, including undertaking audits, dip samples, thematic reviews and analysis of practice themes to support service improvement.
