EHC Phase Manager – Barnsley
Location: Barnsley
Rate: £400–£500 per day
Working Pattern: Full time
Working Arrangement: Hybrid / office attendance preferred at least one day per week
Pertemps is recruiting for an experienced EHC Phase Manager to join a Local Authority Education, Health and Care Team in Barnsley.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled SEND professional with strong leadership experience to support the delivery of high-quality statutory SEND services. The successful candidate will bring significant knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, alongside experience of managing a busy caseload, overseeing complex cases, quality assuring EHC Plans and providing line management within a fast-paced team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of Education, Health and Care (EHC) cases, including complex and high-priority matters
- Oversee and quality assure EHC Plans to ensure compliance, accuracy and high standards of service delivery
- Provide line management and operational support within the Education, Health and Care Team
- Ensure statutory processes are delivered in line with the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation
- Support the effective progression of cases across the EHC process, ensuring deadlines and service standards are met
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, professionals and wider stakeholders to secure positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND
- Provide advice and guidance to staff on complex casework and SEND statutory processes
Requirements:
- Significant experience working within a SEND / EHCP environment
- Strong working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
- Experience managing a busy caseload of EHC cases
- Proven ability to deal with complex casework
- Experience quality assuring EHC Plans
- Previous line management or team leadership experience
- Ability to attend Barnsley’s town centre office at least one day per week is preferred
