We are seeking dedicated Children’s Residential Support Workers (Scale 5) to join our friendly and supportive team in a children’s home based in Greater London. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with children and young people who have experienced trauma, emotional difficulties, and challenging life circumstances.
As part of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, stable, and nurturing home where children feel valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their potential.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support in a safe and therapeutic residential environment.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
  • Support children with their emotional, social, educational, and daily living needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour using trauma-informed and child-centred approaches.
  • Encourage independence, resilience, and personal development.
  • Work alongside families, schools, social workers, and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and safeguarding.
  • Participate in a shift rota, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-in duties where required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting.
  • A genuine passion for improving the lives of vulnerable children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is desirable, or a willingness to achieve this qualification.
  • Flexibility to work shifts as part of a 24-hour care service.
