Location: Lancashire (Fully Remote)
Rate per day: £315 per day
Working Arrangements: Full-Time Contract, Remote 

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior SEND EHCP Officer to join Lancashire’s Inclusion Service on a fully remote basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled SEND professional to manage complex EHCP caseloads, provide technical expertise across the service, and play a key role in improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND across Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a complex caseload of children and young people aged 0-25 across the full EHCP process, including assessment, planning, annual reviews, reassessments and cessations.
  • Ensure compliance with SEND legislation, statutory guidance, performance targets and timescales.
  • Lead and chair Annual Reviews, professional meetings and multi-agency forums.
  • Support mediation processes and contribute to tribunal preparation, including supporting witnesses where required.
  • Produce high-quality, person-centred EHCPs and recommendations that deliver positive outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with families, schools, health services and partner agencies to secure appropriate provision.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring and technical support to SEND EHCP Officers and wider team members.
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives, strategic projects and county-wide SEND planning.
  • Support transition planning across key educational stages and into adulthood.
  • Prepare evidence-based recommendations for decision-making panels and senior stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience working within SEND and EHCP services.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, statutory processes and current best practice.
  • Significant experience managing complex EHCP caseloads.
  • Experience chairing statutory meetings, Annual Reviews and multi-agency discussions.
  • Experience contributing to tribunal preparation and mediation processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written communication and report-writing abilities.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with families, schools and partner agencies.
  • Experience supporting colleagues, mentoring practitioners and contributing to service improvement initiatives.
