SEND Officer – Central Bedfordshire
Rate per day: £286.28 per day
Working hours: Full Time
Working Arrangements: Remote Working (Equipment collection required from Priory House, Shefford)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEND Officer to support with the amendment and issuing of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) following annual reviews.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong EHCP drafting experience and extensive knowledge of SEND legislation and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of annual reviews from amendment through to finalisation
- Amend and issue high-quality, legally compliant EHCPs
- Review professional reports and advice and incorporate amendments accurately
- Liaise with families, schools and professionals regarding proposed amendments
- Seek any missing information or updated advice where required
- Prepare cases for panel and finalise plans within statutory timescales
- Ensure plans are concise, accurate and up to date
- Complete approximately 10 quality amendments per week
Requirements:
- Extensive experience within SEND/EHCP services
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation and statutory processes
- Experience drafting and amending EHCPs to a high standard
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
- Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
- Strong partnership working and communication skills
Additional Information:
- Equipment must be collected from Priory House, Shefford at the start of the contract
- Standard working hours are 9am–5pm, with some flexibility available
