Children’s Social Worker – Swansea

Pay rate – £38.43 per hour
 
Contract – Temporary
 
Swansea Council are recruiting an experienced children’s Social Worker for their Child Disability team.
 
Contract is initially 6 months
The current working arrangements are office days Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s.  Friday is a lock down day where the whole team are in the office (Guildhall, Swansea, SA1 4PE).
 
The Child Disability Team (CDT) provides a specialist statutory service for children and young people with disabilities and their families.
The team undertakes complex work within the court arena, including care proceedings and associated public law matters, alongside responsibilities for looked‑after children, Deprivation of Liberty authorisations, and planning well‑supported transitions into adult services.
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
