Wirral Council are recruiting an experienced adult’s Advanced Practitioner for their Commissioning & Contracts team.
 
2 days remote, 3 days in the office
 
This is an exciting opportunity to join Wirral Council as an Advanced Practitioner (Adults)—a pivotal role within our Adult Social Care service, leading and championing high‑quality practice across safeguarding, adult protection and complex casework.
The focus of the role is to support people who are in receipt of services with assessment and evaluation to ensure they are accessing all appropriate funding streams to meet their assessed needs.
The successful applicant will work as part of a team alongside three new Commissioning and Contracts colleagues. The team will work across operational social care delivery to review new applications for funding against national and local criteria, offering best practice advice to assessment and reviewing officers, alongside guidance and professional standards oversight.
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
