Pertemps are recruiting for a qualified and experienced Team Manager to manage the First Response Team.
The First Response Team is responsible for taking referrals from both professionals and members of the public. These referrals include but are not limited to requests for new strength-based assessments, OT, Safeguarding and Sensory referrals. The team manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the call centre alongside the management of email referrals.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be expected to motivate and develop a team of social work officers, Community Care Officers so that performance standards and outcomes are met in ways that demonstrate Haringey Values.
  • The Team Manager will be responsible for managing the weekly rota for duty, authorising contact referrals on the local authority’s data base (Liquid Logic) and allocating cases across to Locality Duty Teams.
  • There is an expectation that the successful applicant will have a sound knowledge of working in a busy local authority front door.
  • The Team Manager will be accountable for implementation of planned and approved service innovations, including the development of pathways and processes between the front door into three community locality teams.
  • The role requires ongoing scrutiny of the teams performance so as to ensure that contacts are being resolved within 10 days of being received.
  • The Team Manager is expected to support staff with managing any day-to-day practice issues that occur and to undertake any HR duties within the team, including the management of sickness and capability processes.
