Social Worker – Duty & Assessment team
£36.00 per hour

37 hours p/w, hybrid

About the role:
We are looking for a Children’s Social Worker to join a Duty & Assessment team in Lancashire on a temporary basis. 
As a social worker in a Duty and Assessment role responds to urgent concerns about a child’s safety or well-being by conducting child and family assessments, making immediate safety plans, and collaborating with other professionals to ensure the child is protected and linked to appropriate, longer-term support if needed.
Key duties include:

• Carrying out Section 47 and Section 17 enquiries
• Creating robust care plans
• Preparing for and participating in formal case reviews
• Maintaining strong professional relationships with children, families, and partner agencies to deliver effective safeguarding and welfare services.

What you need:

• A degree in Social Work or equivalent
• Registered with Social Work England
• At least 3 years PQE direct employment within English Local Authorities
• Completed relevant post-qualifying training
• Enhanced DBS check
• Excellent communication and written skills
