Occupational Therapist – Cheshire West & Chester
£32.37 per hour

Project-based role
We’re seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to support a Single-Handed Care Project within Cheshire West and Chester.
You’ll focus on reviewing and reassessing cases currently supported by double-handed carers, with the aim of promoting independence and identifying opportunities for safe single-handed care solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out functional assessments and manual handling reviews.
• Develop and implement safe, person-centred single-handed care plans.
• Provide training and advice to care staff and families on moving and handling techniques.
• Contribute to the overall project objectives by identifying efficiency and best practice opportunities.

Requirements:
✅ Qualified Occupational Therapist
✅ HCPC Registered
✅ Significant post-qualifying experience in moving & handling / single-handed care
✅ Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and problem-solving skills
✅ Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
✅ Car driver with access to a vehicle (desirable)
