We are recruiting for motivated qualified social worker to join our busy team. This role is with one of the UK’s highest performing local authorities, serving as one of the best places to live and work in.
 
This is a qualified role requiring you to be SWE registered and have relevant experience within adult services.

Job responsibilities:
 
Conduct assessments and make decisions under the Mental Health Act 1983. Act as a key member of the Mental Health Act assessment team, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and best practice guidelines. Collaborate with individuals, families, carers, and relevant professionals to formulate care plans and provide appropriate support. Advocate for the rights and preferences of individuals within the legal framework. Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals experiencing mental health crises. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, decisions, and interventions. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of holistic care plans. Keep abreast of changes in mental health legislation and participate in ongoing professional development activities.

Requirements: Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., Social Work England). Demonstrated experience working within a mental health setting, in a statutory mental health service. Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and associated legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and teams.
