Leaving Care Team

Purpose of this role:

Within this position you will be required to act as the Children’s Social Care representative to MARAT and act as the point of liaison to ensure that children of high risk domestic-abuse households are considered for safeguarding. You will provide professional and comprehensive casework to a caseload of children and young people, some of which will be complex and sensitive cases.

All will require the highest of professional standards and in depth knowledge of relevant legislation regulation and practice methods.
As well as this, there will be a need to take responsibility for some areas of work in the day to day running of the team, including supervision of identified team members.

What you’ll need to success:

• To be successful in this position you must be able to work in the UK, have a recognised Social Work qualification and be registered with the Social Work England and have completed your ASYE.
• You must have a detailed knowledge of child protection, looked after children and associated child in need social work practice issues. You will have knowledge of methods of social work intervention, detailed knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations guidance & policy issues.
