Children’s Team Manager – West Yorkshire

Pay rate – £40 per hour
 
Contract – Temporary
 
A West Yorkshire local authority are recruiting an experienced children’s Team Manager for their CIN/cp team.  
 
Applicants must have experience of team managing and be competent in managing from referral through to permanence.
 
Candidates must be able to evidence competence in managing:

• Referrals, through Assessment & Child in Needs, strategy discussion, S47 to Child Protection, Pre-Proceedings through court proceedings into permanence and adoption.
• Practicing in line with the council’s restorative and family led approach.
• manage and influence team culture
• support with performance, case decision making and outcome focussed supervision.
• Manage staff welfare, performance and HR. 

 
Applicants will be mainly office based and available between office hours 8.30 – 5 with some flexibility to support to see through cases / safety planning. Expected to be office based initially to get to know the team and service, with some hybrid working negotiated thereafter on non-duty weeks
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
