Liverpool City Council are currently recruiting experienced children’s Social Workers for their Permanence/Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children’s team.
Hybrid working – 3 days office based, 2 days from home.
Must be age assessment trained.
Completing robust, multi-agency, and legally compliant age assessments for young people whose date of birth is disputed.
Undertaking regular statutory visits, pathway planning, and reviews for Looked After Children (LAC) and care leavers.
Identifying risks and executing safeguarding procedures for youth who have often survived extreme trauma.
Coordinating closely with education, housing, legal services, the Home Office, and health providers to ensure holistic support.
Preparing detailed reports for statutory meetings, relevant panels, and immigration proceeding.
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
