Children’s Social Worker – Knowsley

Pay rate – £39 per hour
 
Contract – Temporary
 
Knowsley MB Council are currently recruiting experienced children’s Social Workers for their Children with Disabilities team.

Hybrid Working – 3 Days Office / 2 Days Home
 
Promoting the welfare, safety, and inclusion of disabled children and their families.
Conducting Holistic Assessments, care planning, and packages of support.
Producing Initial Child Protection Conference reports, initiating Child Protection Plans, and convening/chairing Core Group meetings when required.
Engaging directly with children. This requires creative communication and advocacy, ensuring the child’s views—including those of non-verbal children or those who use specialized communication tools—are heard and represented.
Working closely with health, education, and therapy services to coordinate support, reduce duplication, and meet the holistic needs of the young person.
 
 
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
